Occupy Purpose Indeed

Can it be that the Time has come to look more particularly at the available means for using the agreement that the Occupy Movement holds to do more than inconvenience the streets. Can it be Time to challenge the very nature of the way of wealth. The best example is set before us in the matter of the insurance industry. Insurance is a concept that has visibly fallen to the pitfall of an out of control profit motive.

Our lives in paradigm have already shifted. We hold all necessary permission for transformed manners of thought. As a nation, we cannot recklessly end the need for this once utilitarian concept but we can end it. We can end it peacefully by beginning with the demand. The means of peaceful necessity is to buy it out. Just as we have come to see the honest necessity of taking care of returning veterans, the peaceful means to carry us all beyond health insurance to the hospital when necessary is to buy out the industry. Wall Street can handle a buy out. That's their language.

The Occupy Movement requires a continuing opening to and expansion of its natural purposes. Requiring of our elected national representatives that the nation peacefully buy out the insurance and war industries will go a long way toward a healthy national sense of genuine Loving purpose.

Can it be that we can be served by looking to the brashly practical within our nearest concerns. Here’s the example~

In the public educational system, the worst case of worst cases are the kids who have been expelled everywhere else, have developmental difficulties on top of poverty, social and opportunity deprivation, inadequate budgets for teachers, aides, materials, health care, nutritional health, food and companionship. There’s more many of you know far better, but that’s enough to start to paint the picture.

As impossible as it is today to see such challenges met, when for example the teacher has to kick in for materials or go without, it becomes correct to construct the necessary budget that’s the fix. This is a unique array of detail everywhere, but that’s fine. One of our weaknesses is the thought that homogenization is adequate to a healthy life for all.

Construct the details. It is mainly a staffing thing. When people connect in purpose the component “things” can also appear. But write the budgetary fix then hawk it. Every church out there is committed to local service, but beyond the staffs, congregations may allow themselves real purpose when doing so becomes wide-scale social purpose. Beyond the current ‘volunteers,’ this kind of sharing has got to become the only purpose of church attendance. If you would worship a God, serve her purpose. Use the concept of viral sharing that’s so popular. This is a National Purpose access point that, while also pursued at the budgetary level, will render the silly small philosophico-political discussions unimportant.

We can be served in this way by a wide-scale demand for fulfillment of the natural requirements of any healthy society. In as technologically advanced a reality as we are today failure at the educational font is inexcusable and an insult to all.

Twelve Events

1. Outside insanity, we admitted that we felt overcome by an identified affliction that had rendered our lives unmanageable.

2. Concerned, and certain that we could be freed from this horror, we came to feel that a partnership with a strength as large as we might individually understand held the potential to restore us to a consciously expanded sense of wholeness.

3. Though not entirely certain of its nature or form, we chose to accept and engage in that partnership fully.

4. In order to prove that acceptance to ourselves and to all the others we had allowed to know of the matter, we made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.

5. We chose to admit to that silent strength, to ourselves, and to a third human being the exact nature of all we could see in ourselves as failures of Love in our lives until now.

6. We chose to believe that our readiness in all these ways could hold our genuine freedom from every defect of character we might identify, even possibly more, and we gave ourselves fully to this form of personal examination.

7. In all the ways we were able, we requested the removal only of our shortcomings, and we prayed for the health and well-being of all humanity.

8. To give life to the certainty we had built by these means, we made a list of every person we had harmed and became willing to make amends to them all.

9. We admitted our failings to each of the individuals we had identified and made direct amends to those people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.

10. For strength, we individually built into our personal nature the willingness and readiness to take inventory of ourselves at any moment, to recognize and admit our understanding to ourselves and another when we could know we had erred somehow in wrongness, and to cleanse ourselves again of any such error we could know.

11. For comfort, we then chose to live with Meditation to maintain and expand our relationship with all the accessible strength we had touched, calling for knowledge of our truest, most honest, most genuine understanding of ourselves and the strength to be that in our continuing daily lives.

12. And finally, as a result, we affirmed our promise always hereafter to live carrying this newly derived state of being in a consciously intent way so that others might every moment know, merely in experience, our determined choice.
